About Us
Hi, I’m Ru – a UI/UX designer, front-end developer, and module tutor at Glasgow Caledonian University. While I spend much of my time designing digital experiences, art has always been my way of slowing down, finding calm, and giving my mind space to breathe.
I’ve been doodling since childhood. What started as playful sketches soon became my way of easing stress and expressing creativity. At first, I drew simply for fun, but over time those doodles began to take me on unexpected journeys. I had the chance to showcase my work at Lanka Comic Con, where the feedback was amazing and encouraged me to keep going. Later, my art made its way to Kala Pola, Sri Lanka’s most celebrated open-air art fair, and I was even invited to share my story on a national television programme.
I love to experiment with new styles and mediums. Recently, I’ve moved into canvas art, blending doodles with textured surfaces. The textures bring a sense of depth and liveliness, making each piece feel vibrant and full of character.
For me, doodling is more than just art, it’s a space to experiment, to relax, and to reconnect with myself. Each piece is created with that same spirit of exploration and joy.
